Featured Projects:
$5 MILLION GOAL
The goal of the BRiDGE centre is to strengthen connections between industries, businesses, researchers, and community partners. We will do this by closing the gap between theory and practice; fostering impactful research and knowledge co-creation that focuses on the role that research can play in advancing practice; developing relevant research and providing advice in our core research areas; providing research support; and engaging in meaningful collaboration with communities.
This will be the first research centre of its kind in Saskatchewan that is recognized nationally and internationally as a leader in industry focused responsible and relevant business research that connects researchers, businesses, and communities.

We will create a robust PhD and post-doctoral program and redevelop our Masters’ programs. Our faculty will have a highly qualified pipeline of excellent researchers and academics supporting their research projects; this will transform the landscape of the Edwards School of Business, not only through the impact our research can have, but through the transformation of in-class experiences for our students.
A PhD program includes the creation of research and teaching fellowships to attract renowned faculty to the college, graduate student scholarships, PhD and postdoctoral, and a visiting scholar program.

SUPPORT INDIGENOUS ACHIEVEMENT
Work with, and for, Indigenous communities to enact our firm commitment to mutual learning, lndigenization and reconciliation.
Featured Projects:
$500,000 GOAL
We will create bridging programs to support Indigenous students as they build new skills in the six B.Comm. majors of Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Management and Supply Chain Management.
Creation of a summer program for Indigenous students would address access to these areas before they start their Bachelor of Commerce. Indigenous students will complete a course which will reduce their first-year course load and provide them with personalized training in an area that can set them up to make better decisions towards their major.

Reimagined Indigenous Business Administration Certificate
$1 MILLION GOAL
Edwards Indigenous Business Administration Certificate (IBAC) will be reimagined to educate a new generation of Indigenous and non-Indigenous students on Indigenous business in Canada.
The new certificate will focus on building a community, so students are successful during their time at Edwards and have strong relationships to build upon after graduation.
This will require the development of three new Indigenous business classes, partnerships with Arts and Science faculty on specific programming, faculty support, and the development of learning communities. This new IBAC will position us as national leader in Indigenous programming.

$1 MILLION GOAL
Community is the number one reason students are successful in higher education. It is the reason students enjoy in-person learning more than virtual learning, as they benefit from working together and supporting each other.
With 33 per cent of the Indigenous population in Saskatchewan under the age of 14 — potential future students at the Edwards School of Business — it is imperative that we create strong learning communities to support Indigenous students throughout their education. This will ensure they have the support necessary to be successful achieving their degree and after graduation. Learning communities are best at making the first-year curriculum more coherent, cohesive, synergistic and relevant to students’ interests and aspirations.
Using a cohort model, the Edwards learning community will include all Indigenous students working together to complete their first two years of school.
In addition, the community will have an Indigenous faculty member integrating their educational experience and collaborating on defining learning outcomes and designing assignments and assessments. Specific Indigenous student advisors and Indigenous career advisors will connect students with possible employment opportunities.

$1 MILLION GOAL
Building a strong community for every student at Edwards is important, and we must elevate the importance of Indigenous community. Through the relocation and renovation of the Indigenous student space, all students at Edwards will be working together to build a better Saskatchewan.
Gathering spaces are essential to collaboration. This student space will allow Indigenous students a space to create cultural moments, share ways of knowing, gather and learn as a community.
This dedicated, well-positioned space will create a stronger community between the Indigenous Business Students Society, the Edwards Business Students Society, and the Edwards International Student Society.
With more support, and a greater sense of community, your gift will help ensure higher degree completion rates and overall degree success for Indigenous students.
With enhanced support for Indigenous cultural initiatives within the college we can expand student exposure and experience, while honouring the traditions of Indigenous people, ensuring all students feel supported and included.

We will increase our recruiting efforts, bring young people to Edwards for a day to experience life as a student, invest in safe, affordable, and guaranteed housing, and ensure that families are aware of the tools available to their kids while away from home.

Respond to current student need and attract future learners.
Featured Projects:
Leadership Institute
$1 MILLION GOAL
The Leadership Institute is focused on preparing undergraduate and graduate students for entry into the professional business environment (i.e., internships, co-ops and full-time positions). The Leadership Institute will provide all Edwards School of Business students with the educational opportunities to develop a critical leadership mindset, open to growth for them personally, and growth for the province of Saskatchewan.
The Hanlon Centre for International Business Studies
$6 MILLION GOAL
Since 2008, the Hanlon Centre for International Business Studies has established itself as the leader at the University of Saskatchewan for International experiences for students, offering more placements than any other college. The reputation of the centre has grown, attracting donors and faculty for the many research opportunities and experiences it provides.
We will have one visiting Hanlon professor and one visiting Hanlon PhD student, each working alongside faculty members to create an impact in teaching and research.
With a mandate of creating connection through an international network of relationships, and increasing international perspective and opinions, the Hanlon Centre is the key to success for the Edwards School of Business as we aim to tackle these challenges and opportunities ahead.
Academic Advising
$500,000 GOAL
Students need additional supports in place to navigate their university and career paths. Thanks to Academic Advising professionals, Edwards students have someone to guide them while they make tough decisions that can impact the rest of their lives. This includes financial assistance in case of emergencies, guidance counseling, academic advising, skills training, and tutoring.
The need for this service is even more critical for students because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Opportunities for networking, professional development, and mentorship have increased importance as students transition back to campus and experience industry opportunities in a post-pandemic world.
